Core Settings: Choose airflow & temp by hair type
| Your Hair Type | Recommended Setting |
|---|---|
| Fine, soft, damaged, curly | Low speed + low heat |
| Medium thickness, wavy | Medium speed + medium heat |
| Thick, coarse, stubborn frizz | High speed + high heat |
One universal rule: use the lowest heat that still gets the job done. High heat is for saving time, not for frying your scalp.
1. Straight Hair
-
Sleek look: Apply heat protectant. Use a paddle brush and blow-dry downward.
-
Volume: Use a round brush. Lift hair at the roots and direct heat there. Don't press the brush flat against your head—leave some space for air to move.
2. Wavy Hair
-
Natural waves: Use a diffuser on low/medium heat. Scrunch hair upward.
-
Defined curls: When 80% dry, use a curling iron attachment and set with cool air.
Common mistake: constantly touching your hair while drying. That creates frizz, not waves.
3. Curly & Coily Hair
-
Anti-frizz: Apply mousse or cream. Use a diffuser to "support" curls near the scalp. Don't touch the curls while drying. The more you touch, the more they puff.
-
Straightening: Use a narrow nozzle. Dry in small sections with a round brush, keeping hair taut.
4. Bangs
-
Curtain bangs: Use a round brush to curl them away from your face.
-
Straight bangs: Press flat with a comb and dry downward. Start at the root. Don't just blow the ends.
Master blow-drying for every hair type: straight, wavy, curly, coily, and bangs. Get tailored heat and speed settings for sleek, voluminous, or defined styles.
