How to Blow-Dry a Classic Bob Haircut with an Inward Curve

A sleek inward curved bob (also known as the classic "C-curl" bob) is one of the most timeless, face-framing hair styles out there. Whether you’re getting ready for a morning meeting in Manhattan or rushing to dinner in Paris, achieving that polished salon finish at home is surprisingly easy.

Using the ultra-lightweight Slopehill® Dual Voltage Travel Mini Hair Dryer, here is your step-by-step guide to mastering the perfect inward curve without heat damage or hand fatigue.

🛠️ What You’ll Need
Hair Dryer: Slopehill® Dual Voltage Travel Mini Hair Dryer (equipped with the Concentrator Nozzle)

Brush: A round boar-bristle brush or ceramic round brush

Styling Tools: 2–3 sectioning clips

Products: Heat protectant serum/oil and lightweight finishing hairspray

Step 1: Prep & Protect
Towel Dry: After washing, gently towel-dry your hair until it’s about 70–80% dry. Avoid harsh rubbing to prevent unwanted frizz.

Apply Heat Protectant: Work a small drop of heat protectant serum or hair oil through your mid-lengths and ends. Even though the Slopehill® dryer features intelligent heat-balance control and infrared technology, prepping your strands locks in moisture and adds extra shine.

Step 2: Section Your Hair
To get that bouncy, dimensional curve rather than a flat look, never blow-dry your whole head at once!

Section It Off: Use your clips to pin up the top half of your hair, starting with the bottom layer near the nape of your neck.

Smooth the Roots: Snap on the magnetic concentrator nozzle. Set your Slopehill® to medium heat and medium speed, pointing the airflow downward along the hair shaft to smooth down the cuticle.

Step 3: Blow-Dry the Inward Curve
1. The Lower Layer (The Foundation)
Take a 1-to-2-inch section of hair. Place your round brush underneath the section, close to the neck.

Glide the brush down to the ends, then roll the ends inward (towards your neck) to wrap the hair around the brush.

Focus the concentrator nozzle directly on the wrapped hair on the brush. Apply hot air for 3 to 5 seconds.

The Pro Trick (Cool-Shot Lock): Switch to the cool setting (or hold the hair in place for 3 seconds). Heat shapes the hair, but cool air locks the shape in place!

2. The Upper Layer (Volume & Lift)
Unclip the top section of your hair and repeat the inward rolling technique.

For Root Volume: When drying the top layer, pull the brush upward and outward away from your scalp before rolling the ends in. At just 0.6 lbs, the Slopehill® dryer won't tire out your arms while you hold this angle!

3. Face-Framing Pieces & Bangs
If you have curtain bangs or face-framing layers, place the round brush behind the hair, pull slightly upward and backward, and roll inward. When released, sweep them back naturally to highlight your cheekbones.

Step 4: Finish & Set
Shake It Out: Run your fingers through your hair near the roots to blend the upper and lower layers together naturally.

Lock in the Style: Hold a light-hold hairspray about 10–12 inches away and mist evenly.

💡 Quick Travel Tip:
